Local Representatives Attend ERA International Business Conference

ERA Nicholas Real Estate representatives gain invaluable information and promote team building at ERA Real Estate’s annual meeting

Enid, OK  (April 8, 2009) -- Real estate representatives with ERA Nicholas Real Estate in Enid, OK, recently attended the 2009 ERA® International Business Conference held March 5-9 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. They joined ERA® professionals from around the world to attend leading-edge training courses and learn about the latest product and service offerings from ERA Real Estate. The conference also celebrated ERA Real Estate’s 30-plus year participation in supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

Convention attendees from ERA Nicholas Real Estate included: Jimmy Nicholas, Broker, Molly Nicholas, Rick Goben, Ronnie Valdez, Susan Root, Kelly Tompkins and Ty Tompkins.

The theme of the conference was "Shaping Tomorrow" and it highlighted the accomplishments of the past year while giving attendees the opportunity to network, share ideas, and learn about the latest tools and technology to prepare for the year ahead. "Shaping Tomorrow" encouraged attendees to reach new goals and make investments today that will build a stronger future. 

The keynote speaker for the event was Suze Orman, distinguished financial advisor, writer and television personality. She addressed the conference at the general session held on March 7. The conference hosted various prestigious guest speakers, including Kevin O’Connor, the host of Ask This Old House, a leading do-it-yourself home improvement show on PBS.

A general session was held where attendees celebrated the company’s accomplishments with their annual awards ceremony. During the event, they introduced the 2009 Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) National Goodwill Ambassador, Abbey Umali, and heard from blue-grass recording sensation and the 2007 International Bluegrass Music Association Male Vocalist of the Year, Bradley Walker.

The conference included over 50 educational sessions, including the first ever ERA Certification Day, where attendees had the opportunity to earn valuable real estate designations for little to no cost. Topics ranged from marketing luxury properties to conducting successful meetings to tips on negotiation.
